The romantic holiday house La Barbilla stands above the village Tijarafe, about 800 M above sea level.
La Barbilla is situated in large grounds of 40.000 m².
Here you will find peace and quiet, nature and privacy. The views over the area and the Atlantic Ocean are stunning.
La Barbilla is surrounded by fruit trees, almond trees and Canary pine trees and a vineyard.

This original Canary style house has a more recently built part with 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 persons.

La Barbilla has an enclosed glass patio in front of the house. Around the house are terraces with garden furniture. The large orange tree and lemon tree give shadow.
There is a lot to explore in the enormous garden. Several caves, old stone huts, terraces with sun or shadow and lots of plants and flowers. The fruit you pick is tree ripened in the La Palma sunshine.

In the living room has comfortable furniture and the wood burning stove makes the sometimes cool winter evenings warm and romantic. There is SAT-tv/radio and a hifi system.

The kitchen has a dish washer, 4 hob gasstove, refrigerator and a good selection of kitchen utensils. .

The two bedrooms are in the newer two storey part of the house. The beds have good mattresses. In front of one of the bedrooms is an enclosed glass patio In the bathroom you will find a wash basin, shower and WC.

Area

Casa La Barbilla is about 70 minutes drive from the airport.
The Tijarafe area is crisscrossed with marked walking-paths including a route to the viewpoint Torre del Time, where there is a breathtaking view over the west side of the island and the Valle de Aridane.
In the village Tijarafe you'll find a bank, dispensing chemist, medical centre, internet cafe, supermarket and shops, restaurant and bars. There is a Kiosco with terrace where you can enjoy the view, local wine and tapas.
The nearest sandy beaches are in Tazacorte (20 min. drive) and Puerto Naos (30 min. drive) where there are also shops, restaurants and small supermarkets.
Los Llanos is the closest town with it's old streets and squares, shops and supermarkets, and the popular meeting place Plaza de España, and is about 30 minutes drive.
More estaurants can be found in Tazacorte, Los Llanos and Puntagorda.
On Saturdays and Sundays there is a farmers market in the Mercadillo in Puntagorda.
